It
became clear that merely filling the training gaps without
addressing some of the underlying disconnect would simply
perpetuate the problems that led to this consulting brief.
As a result, the final consulting report focused on a three
pronged approach that would provide some immediate training
solutions for those roles identified as priorities while at
the same time addressing the underlying disconnect problems.
The three aspects of the proposed solution are outlined briefly
below.
The report identified
high priority materials development requirements and performance
support tools that needed to be developed to support particular
roles. This work was to be completed in parallel with the
second aspect, the development of Learning Pathways, in order
to avoid the lack of integration and patchwork effect problems
identified earlier.
